African Pangolin Working Group

The African Pangolin Working Group was established in 2011, with its mandate to ‘strive towards the conservation and protection of all four African pangolin species by: generating knowledge; developing partnerships; creating public awareness and education initiatives; working with Government to retrieve pangolins from the illegal trade; and for rehabilitating and releasing confiscated pangolins back into appropriate wildlife habitats.
